Return of the Library Edition!
Hello
Just a quick one to let you know that - hooray!- both my radio shows; John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme and Double Acts, are returning for new serieseseses on Radio 4. (I'm fairly sure that's the plural of series.) And that means, writing a whole lot of brand new material, and that means - also hooray! - the return of John Finnemore's Library Editions. These are the small, secret try-out gigs of entirely new sketches- and this time, who knows, possibly even Double Act ideas- in front of a small, secret audience in a small, secret theatre hidden in a library in a small, secret part of London called Kensington. Ok, possibly I got carried away at the end, there. Kensington is not entirely secret. But the Library Editions are, and they are always really lovely nights, at least for me. So, please do come along if you fancy it - there are two dates available:
Thursday 30th June: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/365053
And Thursday 28th July: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/365055
The shows start at 7.20, tickets cost £9, and the cast will be definitely me; at least some of the JFSP gang; and possibly special guests. Children over, ooh, let's say about 12ish, are welcome.
In other news, Radio 4 are currently repeating series 4 of JFSP on Friday mornings at 11:30, which means they'll be knocking around on iPlayer for a month or so. I think you can still hear both of my first ever appearances on Just A Minute there too, if you enjoy listening to me forgetting how to breathe. And JFSP series 5 and Double Acts series 1 are now both available to buy either as CDs or downloads here:

There. What a lot of advertising. Still, it's over now. Go out and enjoy the summer sun. Or, if in Australia, the winter sun. Or, if in Britain, the summer rain.
Bye!
John
